Haier, a leading Chinese mainland electronic household appliance manufacturer, has opened its Hong Kong branch.
By establishing the new office in the city, the company will take Hong Kong as the springboard to expand into other regional markets.
Hong Kong is glad to be the platform for Chinese mainland companies to implement their overseas strategy, Ophelia Tsang, acting director-general of Invest Hong Kong, said while officiating Haier's Hong Kong office.
According to the official, more than 3,600 overseas enterprises have set up their regional headquarters or regional offices in Hong Kong, among which more than 260 are from the mainland. (People's Daily)
