Whirlpool Corporation announced that it has been named one of the 100 best corporate citizens by Business Ethics magazine. The company, which ranked 18th on the list, has been named to the list every year since its inception 6 years ago.
Business Ethics magazine has released its annual survey of the "100 Best Corporate Citizens" in the Spring 2005 issue. The survey has gained national recognition as an indicator of best practices in the area of corporate social responsibility.
"We're honored to be named one of the top 20 best corporate citizens," said Jeff M. Fettig, chairman, president, and CEO of Whirlpool Corporation. "Whirlpool has a long history of strong corporate citizenship and we believe this recognition by Business Ethics magazine reflects what we, both as a company and as employees, have been doing throughout our nearly 100-year history."
