LG to Supply Digital Technology to Sharp, Mitsubishi Mar 30, 2005

South Korean appliance maker LG Electronics Inc. said it has signed license agreements with Japan's Sharp Corp. and Mitsubishi Electric Corp. to provide its digital television reception technology.

The agreement was reached between LG's U.S. subsidiary Zenith Electronics Corp. and Sharp and Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America, the Seoul-based company said in a statement.

LG said the licensing revenue is expected to reach about U.S. $100 million within several years. (Yonhap)
