Chinese Refrigerator Industry Enters Inverter-Controlled Era Mar 24, 2005

According to the 2004 Chinese Inverter-controlled Refrigerator Market Data Analysis Report published, the market share of inverter-controlled refrigerators continues to increase, marking the coming of an inverter-controlled era. Haier, a leader in the domestic electrical household appliances industry, ranked number one with a 78.9 percent market share.

Sino Market Research Ltd. published an analysis of retail sales data in more than 800 markets in 75 cities around China. According to the report, sales of inverter-controlled refrigerators have increased from 1.5 percent in 2003 to 3.4 percent in 2004, an increase of 147.3 percent year on year. Sales of Haier inverter-controlled refrigerators increased 190 percent over 2003. (Chinanews.cn, China View)
