Conair Corporation, maker of personal hair care appliances, announced its acquisition of the Scunci hair accessory business, including the well-known Scunci trademark, from Scunci International, Inc.

The company will use its heritage appliance expertise to expand the Scunci brand product line to include hair care appliances. Plans are to extend the market into Europe, where Conair is already one of the market leaders in hair care appliances under its BaByliss(R) brand.
