Jenn-Air, Keurig to Partner on Single-Cup Coffee Maker Mar 22, 2005

Maytag brand Jenn-Air(R) has announced a partnership with Keurig, Inc., a U.S. manufacturer of single-cup coffee brewers, to license Keurig's patented single-cup brewing technology for Jenn-Air's first coffee maker. The appliance will be part of Jenn-Air's Attrezzi(TM) line of small appliances. Distribution, pricing, and product design plans are still being finalized. The product itself will be designed with Keurig technology and will be marketed by Jenn-Air to U.S. department and kitchen specialty stores, as well as premium major appliance retailers.

"The recent trend of single-serve coffee makers for the home is taking hold across the nation," said Kristi Lafrenz, director of Sales and Marketing for Maytag Diversified Businesses. "Like the other small appliances in the Jenn-Air Attrezzi line, our single-serve coffee maker will focus on more style and performance and allow consumers to personalize and customize their coffee or tea--one perfect cup at a time."
