Haier to Sell Products at Korean Department Store Mar 2, 2005

One of China's largest home appliance makers Haier Group Co. will put its products on sale at a Korean department store for the first time this week.

According to the sources, Hyundai Department Store will hold special sales of Haier products from March 4 to March 13 at its two branches in Seoul.

Haier will offer local customers small washing machines and refrigerated wine cabinets, during the period at the stores, the sources said.

It is the first time for a domestic department store to sell Haier products, whose prices are usually 80 to 85 percent of those offered by domestic ones. (Asia Pulse, Yonhap)
