Prices of electric appliances in China are expected to rise by more than 5 percent in the post-Lunar New Year period in what appears to be another wave of inflation. A price increase is especially seen in electric appliances.
Prices of air-conditioners are expected to go up 5 percent to 8 percent due to a price increase in the following: plastics, where price has gone up as much as 30 percent; steel, up 15 percent; and copper, up 20 percent. (The China Post)
