Mitsubishi Electric Corp. announced that it will be hiring more new graduates in fiscal 2006 by 20 percent compared to the same period in fiscal 2005.

The home appliance and consumer electronics maker said it will hire new graduates for its workforce and expanding operations related to digital appliances and auto parts, company officials said.

The company plans to hire about 600 new graduates in fiscal 2006 through the end of March 2007, an additional 100 compared to the number of jobs it plans to offer in fiscal 2005. (Kyodo News)
