Royal Appliance Mfg. Co. announced that Paul R. D'Aloia has been hired as president of floor care appliance maker. In his role, Mr. D'Aloia will head up the North American floor care products business, which includes the Dirt Devil(R), Regina(R), and Royal(R) brands.
"Paul brings global consumer products experience, emphasizing new-product and category development, strong brand marketing, and supply chain management," commented David Butts, senior vice president, international floor care and appliances for parent company Techtronic Industries Co. Ltd. "His skill set will help us fuel growth and improve profitability in this critical piece of our portfolio."
Mr. D'Aloia joins Royal Appliance from Huffy Corporation, where he most recently was president and CEO. In his 7-year tenure at Huffy, Mr. D'Aloia held numerous leadership roles in Huffy's sporting goods and retail service businesses from 1997 to 2003, prior to being promoted to president and CEO in January 2004.
From 1984 through 1996, Mr. D'Aloia held a number of senior sales and marketing positions with The Gillette Company and with Black and Decker Corporation. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bucknell University and a Masters degree from Colgate University.
