Small appliances manufacturer Salton, Inc. announced it has earned the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval for four products: George Foreman(R) Next Grilleration(TM) grill, Melitta(R) One:One pod brewing system, the Juiceman(R) Automatic Juice Extractor, and the Toastmaster(R) Lightwave Oven(TM).
Since 1909, the Good Housekeeping Seal has been part of magazine's Consumers' Policy. The Good Housekeeping Consumers' Policy, published in every issue of the magazine, states that if a product bearing the Seal proves to be defective within 2 years of purchase, the magazine will replace the product or refund the purchase price.
The approved products include the following:
The George Foreman Next Grilleration grill is an extension of its predecessor, The George Foreman Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine(R). New features include removable grill plates with a new non-stick grilling surface, an updated design, 100 sq ins of cooking surface, an oversized LED readout, and electronic variable temperature control and timer.
The Melitta One:One automatic pod brewing system produces single cups of coffee or tea using individually wrapped and sealed pods. Users drop a Cooper’s(R) Teapod(TM) or Melitta Javapod(TM) into the machine, add water to the 28-oz tank, and select a 5- or 8-oz cup size.
The Juiceman Automatic Juice Extractor features a patented, built-in dual speed control and a large detached pulp basket. The juicer comes with a cutting board and cleaning brush for the micro-mesh stainless steel filter, as well as juice menus and educational materials.
The Toastmaster Lightwave Oven uses a combination of IR and halogen light, reportedly providing faster and more uniform cooking and eliminating the need for preheating. The six-slice toaster Oven/broiler features electronic touch pad controls, a 2-hour timer, and one-touch programming.
