Arçelik Wins Award for Turkey's Favorite Firm Jan 14, 2005

The results of research titled "Turkey's Favorite Firms," conducted by Turkish economics magazine Capital and human resources firm Adecco Turkey, was announced during a ceremony at the Ritz Carlton Hotel.

The research took into account the opinions of 1,390 upper and middle management representatives working in 492 firms in 25 sectors. For the research, representatives gave their opinions on the firms of the Turkish business world, including their own rivals.

Before the awards ceremony, Adecco Turkey Chairman Livio Manzini said the private sector had been very successful in 2004, distributing a record level of exports from many different sectors.

According to the research, appliance maker Arçelik was chosen as Turkey's favorite firm. White goods and consumer electronics maker Vestel came in second, and telecom firm Türkcell came in third. (Turkish Daily News)
