Hewlett Packard Japan to use Webplan Mfg. Software Dec 15, 2004

Webplan Corporation, a provider of software and services solutions for manufacturing, announced that its RapidResponse Response Management solution will be part of Hewlett Packard Japan's portfolio of supply chain management solutions for the electronic assembly industries.

According to Webplan, its RapidResponse can enable manufacturers in high-velocity industries to rapidly and appropriately respond to the changes they face. Hewlett Packard Japan has been signed as a value added reseller of RapidResponse in Japan. By automating and expediting the decision-making process that occurs between planning and execution, RapidResponse is designed to allow businesses to rapidly view changes in supply and demand, propose and share action alternatives, and rank and score multiple "what-if" scenarios to make effective decisions in real time.

"Large manufacturers require a strategic response management solution as a part of their supply chain management strategy," said Hiroshi Oowaki, director of Manufacturing Industry Practice, Consulting & Integration, Hewlett Packard Japan.
