Frequency Variable-Air-Conditioners to Seize China Market Nov 30, 2004

Frequency variable air-conditioners are expected to seize 30 percent of the domestic market in 2005, with a sales value to reach 50 billion yuan (approx. U.S. $6.0 billion).

This would bring about a sustainable development of the 8 to 10 frequency air-conditioner producers with a combined annual output value of 5 billion yuan(approx. $604.1 million), according to Liu Qing, the newly appointed general manager of Shinco Air-Conditioner Co., Ltd.

The reshuffle will continue within the air-conditioners market in 2005, Mr. Qing said, adding that about half of the air-conditioner manufacturers would be edged out of the market. (XIC)
