Beam Announces New Sales, Marketing Leadership Team Nov 23, 2004

Central vacuum maker Beam Industries (Webster City, IA, U.S.) announced the retirement of Quintin Rottering, vice president of Sales and Marketing, effective Jan. 14, 2005.

The company also announced the promotions of two key members of company's management team. Paul A.S. Runyan has assumed the new post of general manager, U.S. sales, and Larry Hartley has been promoted to the position of marketing director.

Mr. Runyan, who joined Beam as U.S. sales manager in 1999 after an extensive career in sales management with a number of top appliance brands, will assume leadership responsibilities for sales of Beam, Electrolux, and Eureka central vacuum systems in the U.S. Additionally, he will oversee the development and training of Beam Central Vacuum System dealers in the U.S.

Mr. Hartley, who has served since 2002 as marketing manager and has a variety of sales and marketing experience in the automotive and lighting industries, will oversee an expanding marketing department that will focus more resources on increasing consumer awareness of central vacuum systems and building preference for Beam-manufactured brands.

Beam also announced that Dan Tompkins, vice president of Logistics, will assume new customer relationship and sales support responsibilities for Beam's contract manufacturing business.
