OSH (Orchard Supply Hardware), a subsidiary of Sears, Roebuck and Co., is now selling major appliances at four stores based in California, U.S.
The four OSH stores are selling 3,000 models of appliances, including GE, Frigidaire, Kenmore, Maytag, and Whirlpool brands. Product offerings include refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, freezers, countertop microwaves, over-the-range microwaves, and washers.
"Our ability to leverage Sears and immediately offer a best-in-class appliance department and infrastructure to our customers complements our broad selection of top brands, legendary customer service and convenient shopping experience," said Rob Lynch, General Manager of OSH.
"Sears is the nation's leading retailer of appliances, with more than double the market share of our next closest competitor," said Beryl Buley, senior vice president and general manager of home stores for Sears, Roebuck and Co. "Sales of appliances at our Sears Hardware stores have exceeded our expectations and offering appliances through our OSH format is a natural extension. We think this adds convenience for our customers who may not live near a Sears full-line store and is consistent with Sears' plans to grow through off-mall and specialty locations."
