Aftron, the Al-Futtaim Group Electronics Division’s own brand of electrical appliances, home entertainment products, and air-conditioners, will soon be available in Saudi Arabia, according to an announcement by the company.

The domestic goods will be distributed by Al Roeia Co. Ltd, the sole agent of domestic goods for Bosch, Siemens, and Rowenta in the UAE. The extensive Aftron portfolio includes air-conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, small kitchen appliances, vacuums, and consumer electronics. Aftron’s product range is sourced from some of the world’s leading manufacturers in Korea, Italy, Denmark, Thailand, Malaysia, China, and Saudi Arabia.

Following the company’s growth in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa, Aftron’s entry into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is in line with Al-Futtaim Electronics Division’s expansion plan for the brand. This includes a deeper presence in Russia and Iran, as well as African countries such as South Africa, Angola, Nigeria, Madagascar, and Mozambique.

"Over the years Aftron has earned the valuable reputation of being able to offer high-quality consumer electronics at highly competitive prices. By appointing Al Roeia Co. Ltd. as the sole agent for Aftron in Saudi Arabia, Aftron is on course for becoming a major player in the Kingdom in 2005," said Vishesh Bhatia, group director for Al-Futtaim’s Group Electronics Division.
