South Korean Air Purifier Market Poised for Major Growth Sep 27, 2004

The South Korean market for air purifying units is likely to grow about 75 percent this year to 700,000 units, industry sources said Monday.

This is up from 400,000 units in 2003 and 240,000 in 2002, the sources said, citing the growing demand for clean indoor air at home.

"Because of growing interest in health, an increasing number of households are purchasing air purifiers," an industry official said. (Yonhap)
