Vent-A-Hood, a manufacturer of residential range hoods for the U.S. and Canadian markets, has broke ground on a 50,000-sq-ft plant expansion at the company's corporate headquarters in Richardson, TX, U.S.
Present at the groundbreaking were Miles Woodall III, CEO of Vent-A-Hood, U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions, City of Richardson Mayor Gary Slagel, and Vent-A-Hood staff members and other distinguished guests.
According to the company, the plant expansion will increase manufacturing space, introduce new training classrooms, and heighten overall production capabilities for its luxury range hoods.
"We've been looking forward to this day for a very long time," Mr. Woodall III said in a statement. "Vent-A-Hood has been operating at full capacity, breaking company records for sales and for production. But this additional space, along with the remodeling of our existing offices and showroom, will allow us to do even more as we continue to grow."
The plant is expected to be completed by January 2005.
