Polish retailer Grupa Avans, which operates more than 600 white goods and consumer electronics stores, announced plans to open an Internet-based sales outlet before the end of September.
The online sales outlet is said to be the first of its kind to be undertaken by a large retail network in Poland. The new venture puts the retailer ahead of such major competitors as Media Markt, RTC Euro AGD, and Mars. (Warsaw Business Journal)
