Salton Launches New George Foreman Grill Aug 18, 2004

Appliance maker Salton, Inc. announced the latest entry in its category of George Foreman(R) grills: George Foreman The Next Grilleration(TM).

According to the company, the new grill features removable grilling plates and makes cleaning easier. The product is expected to be shipped to retailers by the end of August 2004 and be in stores before the end of September.

"Based on strong early demand from our retailers, we believe this new line of George Foreman grills will help accelerate the replacement cycle in the North American market," Leonhard Dreimann, Salton's CEO, said. "We have been hearing from our customers that a Foreman grill with removable plates for easy cleaning is quite desirable."

In addition to featuring removable grilling plates, the new Foreman Grill also features an updated design, 100-sq-in cooking surface, large LED readout, and a variable temperature control and timer.

Salton says the George Foreman The Next Grilleration will be available throughout the U.S. in September with a manufacturers' suggested price of U.S. $99.99.
