Medical appliance maker Medtronic, Inc. has announced the appointment of William A. Hawkins to president and COO. Mr. Hawkins will have responsibility for the company’s worldwide product line and geographic operating businesses and will report directly to Art Collins, Medtronic’s chairman and CEO.
