Maytag and UAW Officials to Continue Talks Jun 25, 2004

Maytag announced that it has been meeting with the United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW) for 2 days -- June 23 and 24 -- to discuss all critical elements of a potential labor agreement at Maytag's manufacturing facilities in Newton, IA, U.S.

The appliance maker said both parties have agreed to meet again next week to resume discussions. While negotiations are continuing, Maytag and UAW agreed not to comment on the progress, status, or location pf the potential labor agreement.
