Blomberg Honored with Energy+ Award May 1, 2004

Appliance maker Blomberg (Ahlen/Westphalia, Germany) has been honored with ³The Best Two-Door Refrigerator-FreezerÂ₂ award for its model CT 1300A. The appliance was awarded for being the most energy-efficient refrigerator/ freezer in Europe, according to Gonzalo Molina-Iguartua, head of Unit Demand Management of the European Union (EU) Directorate General for Transportation and Energy. According to Blomberg, the model¹s daily energy consumption is comparable to that of a 16-W light bulb.

The European Commission (EC) honored Blomberg at the HomeTech trade fair held in Cologne, Germany.
