Dell (Round Rock, TX, U.S.) has introduced four new imaging and printing devices.

The Dell(TM) Laser Printer 1700 and 1700n are a series of monochrome laser printers available in non-networked and networked (n) versions for U.S. $199 and $299, respectively. The printers are said to have speeds of up to 25 pages per min and 1,200 by 1,200 dpi resolution.

Dell's first foray into the growing multifunction laser printer market--the Dell MFP Laser Printer 1600n—is said to provide small workgroups the laser printing, copying, scanning, and faxing capabilities they need in a compact device. Because the 1600n comes with networking standard, its capabilities can also be shared by multiple users.

The Dell Photo All-in-One Printer 922 is the newest multifunction inkjet in Dell's product line. The 922, which retails at about $129, reportedly has high-speed scanning, copying, and printing capabilities.

The 922 also has the ability to create high-quality borderless photos, and can print in six colors when used in conjunction with a Dell photo ink cartridge.

The Dell 1600n, 1700 series, and 922 printers are now available in North America and will be offered in other regions later this year.
