Samsung to Relocate Refigerator and A/C Production to Gwangju May 21, 2004

Samsung Electronics Co., South Korea's top home appliance maker, has announced that it will relocate refrigerator and air-conditioner production lines to its Gwangju plant from Suwon, both of which plants are in South Korea.

"Samsung Electronics is a good example of compliance with the government guidance on balanced development of greater Seoul, South Korea and the provinces," an official at the country's Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Energy said.
