Victor Co. of Japan, a major maker of home audio equipment and affiliate of Matsushita Electric, plans to begin marketing four new flat-panel television models starting in early June, the Nikkei Business Daily reported, citing the company.
The products are 32- and 26-in liquid crystal display (LCD) TVs and 42- and 35-in plasma TVs. All are high-definition models including broadcast and 110-degree communications satellite tuners and will be sold as part of the EXE series, the newspaper reported.
The company aims to capture a 15 percent share of the global market for 25-in and larger LCD TVs, as well as a 10 percent share of the plasma TV market, the report said. (Forbes)
