Zamil CoolCare, an HVAC service and maintenance firm and one of the strategic business units at ZAC, has received certification from the National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB), MD, U.S. for testing, adjusting, and balancing of air and hydronic systems. Proper balancing of air-conditioning equipment is an important final step in the installation. It can minimize operating cost and energy bills in addition to improving equipment performance and the indoor environment.

The NEBB certification attests the competency and capability of Zamil CoolCare in offering its services in testing, adjusting, and balancing of air and hydronic environmental systems through proper methods and procedures as established by M/s. NEBB. CoolCare is currently the only NEBB certified TAB firm in Saudi Arabia.

The National Environmental Balancing Bureau is a nonprofit organization, founded in 1971 by contractors in the heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) industry. It establishes and maintains industry standards, procedures, and specifications for work in various disciplines including Testing-Adjusting-Balancing (TAB) of Air & Hydronic Systems.

Zamil CoolCare demonstrated its competency and infrastructure for all the required procedures through a series of rigorous written and practical NEBB examinations. "The certification procedures also included stringent terms such as visual inspection of our TAB instruments and their compliance with calibrations," said Philips Tharakan, the TAB Supervisor at CoolCare who represented the firm at these tests.

"The NEBB certification is part of CoolCare’s ambitious plans of making Zamil Air Conditioners a one-stop-shop for all HVAC-related needs," said CoolCare General Manager Faisal Al Qahtani, who also praised the teamwork at CoolCare that made it happen.

Mohammed Ali, Area Manager for CoolCare, also commented, saying, "Usually TAB is the final phase in HVAC projects. CoolCare's venture in this field will ensure closer ties with building owners and occupants, leading as well to further business opportunities for other services of CoolCare."

Zamil CoolCare has more than 500 employees to service and maintain air-conditioning units of any size and make. It is a part of the largest air-conditioner company in the Middle East, Zamil Air Conditioners. CoolCare is now expanding operations into GCC nations (the Gulf Cooperation Council, composed of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates) and other Middle Eastern countries.
