ERA Announces Succession Plan Apr 27, 2004

Raymond J. Hall, executive vice president and CEO of the Electronics Representatives Association (ERA), will close out more than four decades at the helm of ERA during the term of a new 3-year succession plan approved by the organization's board of directors.

Mr. Hall will continue to serve as CEO through the end of 2004 and says he is "looking forward to helping coordinate the transition to and implementation of new executive management over the next few years." He will also remain the association's most visible spokesperson within and beyond the electronics industry.

Mr. Hall's career with ERA has spanned 44 years, and he has served as CEO for the last 35. He was inducted into the ERA Hall of Fame in 1988.

What Mr. Hall calls his "almost evangelistic feeling about the manufacturers' rep function" remains as strong as ever. "ERA has literally been my home for 44 years," he says, "and every aspect of my life is somehow tied to the association and the rep business. It has been an incredible joy to be involved with thousands of members throughout the years, and I look forward to those friendships continuing."
