Kevin Smith, senior vice president of Sales & Marketing for Canadian appliance maker Camco Inc. has been appointed as chair of the Canadian Appliance Manufacturers Association (CAMA), succeeding Jerry Redmond, general manager, Whirlpool Canada Inc.
"I'm delighted to accept this Chairmanship," says Mr. Smith. "The year ahead holds a number of challenges for the association - from the promotion of energy efficient products, to addressing both environmental legislation and North American standards harmonization. I look forward to working more with the association membership and staff to continue to address the issues facing the Canadian appliance industry today."
CAMA is the industry association representing Canada's major, portable and floor care appliance manufacturers and marketers on issues such as trade, standards development, the environment, and energy efficiency. The association is a division of Electro-Federation Canada (EFC), a not-for-profit industry association representing more than 275 member companies in the electrical, electronics and telecommunications industries.
