LG Philips LCD Co., Ltd., (Seoul, South Korea) one of the world's leading manufacturers of thin-film-transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) technology, announced that it has received the overall Customer Satisfaction Award from DisplaySearch, a market-research firm (Austin, TX, U.S.) for the third consecutive year. The company was also ranked number one in customer satisfaction among TFT-LCD manufacturers in the notebook PC panel category.
The DisplaySearch survey examined notebook PC and flat-panel monitor producers' ratings of TFT-LCD suppliers' performance. In conducting the survey, DisplaySearch received input from 30 notebook PC and desktop monitor companies, which rated the performance of 15 TFT-LCD suppliers, including LG.Philips LCD, based on the following categories of quality, technology, logistics, commercial terms, and service and support.
According to DisplaySearch's President, Ross Young, "LG.Philips LCD received the highest combined customer satisfaction rating, making them the number one TFT-LCD supplier in overall customer satisfaction for the third consecutive year in a row. Furthermore, the company received the top rating for customer satisfaction in TFT-LCD notebook panels."
DisplaySearch announced the results for its 4th Annual Customer Satisfaction Survey during its annual U.S. FPD Conference, held March 30 to April 1, 2004 in San Diego, CA, U.S.
