Global consumer products manufacturer LG Electronics introduced its newest product, the 3-Door Refrigerator, at the 2004 Kitchen/Industry Bath Show, being held in Chicago, IL, U.S.

Featuring two side-by-side top refrigerator doors and a bottom freezer, LG says its 3-Door Refrigerator combines the convenience and efficiency of both side-by-side and bottom freezer models. With two top doors, consumers can access food and store large trays while still having a large capacity freezer.

"Busy families will appreciate all of the advantages our 3-Door Refrigerator offers," said Simon Kang, president, Home Appliance Division, LG Electronics U.S.A. Inc. "In addition to the convenient layout and advanced functions, the sleek design will enhance the look of the whole kitchen."

The refrigerator also includes four slide out split shelves, two OptiBin(TM) Crispers, Glide n' Serve drawer, two-piece utility bin, wine rack, and five adjustable gallon size shelves in each door. The drawer-style freezer opens to reveal a pull out wire basket above the main freezer basket.

Both the 20.7 and 25.0-cu-ft models feature LG's multi-airflow system, a cooling system in which all refrigerator shelves are outfitted with venting ducts for optimal cavity cooling and food freshness, an express freezing function that is said to lock in freshness, and digital temperature controls that provide temperature control in the refrigerator and freezer compartments. Other features include a built-in look with hidden hinges and contoured door design, BioShield(TM) anti-bacteria gasket, and CustomCube(TM) ice maker.

The Energy-Star compliant LG 3-Door Refrigerator, model number LRFC25750, is available in white, smooth white, smooth black, stainless steel, and titanium finish at the manufacturer's suggested retail price of U.S. $1,599 - $1,899.
