Home appliance producer Jacuzzi Whirlpool Bath has been named 2003 Supplier of the Year in the Home Decor category by home appliance retailer Lowe's Companies, Inc. The retailer first named Jacuzzi as an exclusive supplier of jetted baths at its estimated 950 U.S. stores in March 2003.
"Jacuzzi Whirlpool Bath has provided our customers with innovative products and outstanding service," said Rick Hayes, merchandising vice president of Lowe's. "Our growth strategy is supported by our ability to consistently offer consumers high quality products at a good value."
To receive the award, Jacuzzi Whirlpool Bath met or exceeded each of the 15 special criteria outlined by Lowe's that included:
Forward thinking, customer-focused product development
Exceptional sales and profit contribution growth
Leadership, innovation, and commitment to increasing the brand equity of Lowe's and Jacuzzi
Creative and effective merchandising and marketing programs
Outstanding customer service
"The growth in sales of our products at Lowe's has been significant since commencing our relationship," said Kent Baker, president, Jacuzzi Whirlpool Bath. "We are hopeful that our relationship with Lowe's will strengthen as we continue to develop innovative products that meet the needs of today's consumer."
