In its latest move to make high-end business technology more affordable for growing businesses, Gateway, Inc. announced significant price cuts to its lineup of E-Series managed desktop PCs. According to the PC maker, the price reductions, now in effect, can save business customers hundreds of dollars, depending on system configuration.
Base prices on Gateway's three E-Series platforms all have been reduced. The high-end E-6100 desktop PC's base price has dropped to $899 -- a savings of $100. Base prices on the midrange E-4100 desktop and entry-level E-2100 model each have been reduced by $50 -- to $799 and $649, respectively. In addition, Gateway has reduced the cost of desktop upgrades, such as hard drive, memory, and optical drive options.
"By slashing prices up to 10 percent on our popular E-Series desktop line, Gateway Professional is leading the way in bringing world-class IT solutions to growing businesses," said Jocelyne Attal, executive vice president, Gateway Professional. "In addition to innovative products, Gateway's reliable service helps keep our customers' businesses running efficiently. Beyond PCs, we offer a comprehensive selection of back-office and front-office technology, as well as services and support."
