LCD-Maker Optrex America Signs National Distribution Agreement Mar 4, 2004

Optrex America (Tokyo, Japan), a designer and manufacturer of OEM liquid crystal displays (LCDs), has announced a nationwide distribution agreement with Mouser Electronics (Mansfield, TX, U.S.), a distributor of electronic components.

The agreement between the two companies brings Mouser into the active matrix flat panel display arena through its offering of Optrex's advanced digital thin-film transistor (TFT) color LCDs, along with the company's full line of monochrome and color graphic and character LCDs.

"The agreement with Mouser rounds out our distribution channels throughout the American marketplace," stated Bill Hanna, Optrex America's vice president of sales. "We now have the added benefits of Mouser's full catalog support, and we're in an even better position to meet the needs of engineering, design and prototyping houses throughout the U.S."
