Viking Range Corporation announced that it has reached an agreement with HADCO Distributing (Atlanta, GA, U.S.) in which HADCO will purchase the assets of three Viking-owned distributorships: Atlantic Appliance Distributing of Laurel, MD, U.S.; SouthEast Appliance Distributing of Charlotte, NC, U.S.; and Palmetto Appliance Distributing of Orlando, FL, U.S. The transaction is set to close March 31, 2004. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
Greenwood, MS, U.S.-based Viking Range Corporation markets its premium major appliances through a network of domestic and international major appliance distributors, who in turn sell to high-end dealers, kitchen specialists, and builders.
HADCO, one of the largest distributors in the U.S. major appliance industry, covers territory spanning 12 states throughout the Southeast U.S. and the District of Columbia. Effective April 1, 2004, HADCO will be adding Viking to its current product lines for distribution.
Viking said that additional information will be available following the final closing of the sale.
