Appliance Specialty Retailer Names Frigidaire as Vendor of the Year Feb 25, 2004

Conn's, Inc. (Beaumont, TX, U.S.), a publicly traded specialty retailer of home appliances, consumer electronics, home office products, bedding and lawn, and garden products, has named appliance maker Frigidaire as its "2003 Vendor of the Year." Frigidaire is a brand of Electrolux Home Products of North America.

Conn's annually honors a single vendor who, through its activities and initiatives, has been instrumental in assisting Conn's achieve its revenue and margin growth goals and creating greater customer satisfaction.

"We are very pleased to honor Frigidaire with this award," Thomas J. Frank, Conn's chairman and CEO, said in a prepared written statement. "They have earned it by virtue of their commitment to execution at every level: from manufacturing to distribution to marketing."

Mr. Frank credits Frigidaire management's commitment to helping Conn's grow its major appliance business as being the most effective among all vendors with which Conn's partners. "Management has listened to our concerns related to competitiveness, inventory management and sell-through of inventory on hand. They have worked closely with our merchandising and financial management teams to tailor programs that best achieve our aggressive growth initiatives," Mr. Frank said.

Prior Conn's Vendor of the Year recipients are Mitsubishi Electronics (2001) and Whirlpool (2002).
