Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc., (Valhalla, NY, U.S.) has announced it has created a new Photo-Imaging Technical Operations organization and has named Ron Santos as group vice president to lead this business.

Fujifilm said it created the new business to improve efficiencies in support and operations across its vast digital-printing infrastructure. According to the company, it currently has a 70-percent share of the digital mini-lab market.

Mr. Santos will oversee employees brought together from customer service, marketing, technical support, and software development. The team will provide technical service and field support to Fujifilm's nationwide network, such as Frontier installations, software upgrades, and wireless deployment.

In his new position, Mr. Santos will report to Paul D'Andrea, senior vice president and general manager of Fujifilm's Photo Imaging Division. He will focus on driving business profitability through customer relationship management, according to a company press release.

Mr. Santos joins Fujifilm with 35 years of experience in technical services and support at IBM Printing Systems Division.

Most recently, Mr. Santos served as vice president, Americas, Availability Services, where he led the IBM Printing System Division through a comprehensive reengineering, work design, and process improvement effort, which resulted in cost savings of $30 million and improved customer service delivery.

He holds a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts from Syracuse University and a Master of Science degree from Pace University.
