Fujifilm Unveils Compact, Professional Digital Camera Feb 6, 2004

Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc. has added the Fujifilm FinePix S20 Pro, a compact single-lense reflex (SLR)-type digital camera for professional photographers, to its product line.

According to the company, its small form factor makes it the ideal image capture choice for many applications, and the new camera is able to serve as the main component in an imaging system that meets the needs of specialty segments, such as medical, dental, and scientific.

"Fujifilm is continually striving to promote new technology to meet specific market needs and the FinePix S20 Pro follows in this tradition as it's designed to benefit a new set of professionals," Jennifer Davalos, product manager, Photo Imaging Division, Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc., said in a written statement."

The company says the new camera uses a sensor technology for near-film quality pictures.
