Electrolux Malaysia Unveils Air and Vacuum Cleaners Feb 3, 2004

Electrolux Home Appliances Sdn Bhd (Electrolux Malaysia) has introduced two new household products, the Oxygen Air Cleaner and Ultra Silencer Vacuum Cleaner.

Marketing Manager Audrey Yeo said both products are part of the appliances producer's focus on creating a healthier home.

“Oxygen from the air cleaner is able to reduce air pollutants by up to 88 percent, while the Ultra Silencer has more than 50-percent noise reduction compared with other vacuum cleaners,” Ms. Yeo said at a media product preview in Petaling Jaya.

Ms. Yeo said the oxygen air cleaner produces up to 330 cu m of clean air per hour. The appliance has a digital display to show air quality and also indicates when a user should clean or change the filters.

The silent vacuum cleaner, meanwhile, is said to ensure dust pick up at a low noise level. According to Ms. Yeo, the vacuum's airtight seals are designed to minimize the noise from any possible air leakage.
