Kodak Appoints Head of European Subsidiary

Eastman Kodak Company announced that Etienne Bourgeois has been named chairman of Eastman Kodak S.A. (EKSA), the company's European subsidiary headquartered in Geneva, where he will lead the company's European, African, and Middle Eastern Region (EAMER). In addition, Mr. Bourgeois has been appointed regional operations manager and vice president for EAMER.

Mr. Bourgeois is currently the director, Logistics-EAMER, and vice president, Global Logistics, Director Sourcing, EKSA. He succeeds Alain H. Popelard, who has announced his intention to retire from Kodak at the end of March 2004.

As chairman of EKSA, Mr. Bourgeois will provide senior management oversight to all company operations in the region and will report to Henri Petit, director, International Regional Operations, chairman and president Greater Asia Region, and senior vice [resident, Eastman Kodak Company. As regional operations manager, Mr. Bourgeois will be responsible for working with the regional business and functional leaders to ensure effective coordination and delivery of infrastructure services.

Mr. Bourgeois joined Kodak in 1973 as a project engineer in manufacturing at Kodak's facility in Chalon sur Saone, France. He worked in a variety of positions in Maintenance and Operations Management before being named European manager for the Consumer Film and Motion Picture Film flows in Manufacturing in the early 1990s. In 1995, he was named manufacturing manager at the Chalon facility, and in 1997 he extended his role to general manager of the Kodak group in France. In 2001, Mr. Bourgeois was appointed European Manufacturing and Integrated Supply Chain manager, relocating to Geneva, Switzerland. In 2003, he added to his role the European Logistics Management.

Mr. Bourgeois received his education in Engineering from Ecole Centrale de Paris.
