Electrolux Names President of North American Floor Care Sector

Appliance maker AB Electrolux of Sweden has named Martin Holleran as president and CEO for the North American Floor Care Sector, which includes The Eureka Company, Beam Industries, and Eureka/Beam Canada.

In making the announcement, Magnus Yngen, executive vice president of AB Electrolux, said: "Electrolux North American Floor Care has set a strong strategic direction of the business, and we are confident Marty's leadership will help achieve our goals."

Mr. Holleran's past experience includes general management of sales, marketing, manufacturing, acquisitions, start-ups, new ventures, and invigorating businesses. He spent most of his career with General Electric (GE) Company, where served as vice president and corporate officer, as well as president and general manager of Sales and Distribution for GE's Consumer Electronics Business. He also served as president and CEO for Thomson SA Marketing and Sales Company.

"Marty has vast experience managing and driving successful change," Mr. Yngen said. "He is a strategic thinker who will build the strong floor care brands that Electrolux offers across North America. Under his leadership, we look forward to growing sales and exceeding expectations of our trade partners and consumers."

Mr. Holleran holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Scranton and a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Delaware.
