Fedders Launches New Tabletop and Console Electronic Air Purifiers Jan 26, 2004

Fedders Appliances, an Anaheim, CA, U.S.-based division of Fedders Corporation introduced its line of Trion(R) brand Tabletop and Console Electronic Air Purifiers at the 2004 American Society of Heating, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Winter Meeting. The exposition takes place Jan. 24-28 in Anaheim, CA, U.S. and is being attended by APPLIANCE.

"Air purifiers are becoming a hot ticket on the market particularly among home owners concerned about allergies, asthma, and other health-related issues," said Tom
Purcell, executive vice president of Fedders Appliance Sales, in a press release from the company. "Trion air purifiers use the same technology that the U.S. Navy has trusted for their submarines since 1951."

A high-voltage ionizer within the air Forever Filter purifying cell charges airborne pollutants, particles as small as .01 micron, so that they stick to the collection plate, preventing these pollutants from being released back into the home, according to the company.
