Tilia, Inc. has expanded its line of home vacuum packaging systems with the FoodSaver V345, an entry-level appliance designed to draw more consumers to the niche small appliance category.

Other features include the Press-and-hold Operation, a nylon piston pump that is said to keep food fresh three to five times longer, and a full-size vacuum channel that works with all sizes of FoodSaver(R) Bags and Rolls. It device also includes an Accessory Port that allows the consumer to vacuum package in FoodSaver Canisters(R), bottles, cans and Ball(R) or Kerr(R) glass Mason jars.

The FoodSaver V345 kit includes the appliance, one 11-in FoodSaver Roll, 2-gal and 3- quart-sized FoodSaver Bags and an Accessory Hose. The appliance will be available for shipment in June 2004, with a suggested retail price of U.S. $99.99.
