Dutch Steel Maker Building Facility in China Jan 23, 2004

The Netherlands-based LNM is investing U.S. $100 million to build a new steel plant in Yingkou, China.

The facility will make coated steel sheets for products such as white goods and cars. It will produce 400,000 tons of steel annually, beginning around 2006.

Unlike other European steel makers who have invested in China, LNM will own its plant 100 percent. (Financial Times)
