The Holmes Group (Milford, MA, U.S.) announced that its Bionaire(R) Digital Tower Ceramic Heater won the 1st Annual Housewares Design Award for "Best in Category" in Household Electrics.
The Housewares Design Award, which was created to celebrate design innovation in the housewares industry, was presented by trade publication HomeWorld Business, with the educational support of the International Housewares Association. The competition generated nearly 300 entries across nine categories before naming 44 finalists.
Winners were announced during an awards luncheon held in New York City on Jan. 12, 2004. The judges were an independent mix of retailers including Sears; Bed, Bath & Beyond; Crate & Barrel; and product designers across all categories of the housewares industry.

"It is particularly satisfying to be recognized for our product design by such a prestigious group of retailers and talented designers.
