Segway LLC, a Manchester, NH, U.S. developer of electronic scooters, has named Ronald Bills as president and CEO, replacing Vernon Loucks, who will remain a director.
Mr. Bills was previously general manager of Polaris Industries Inc., which builds snowmobiles and other small vehicles. Mr. Loucks, former CEO of health care products maker Baxter International, stepped down after a year as chief executive.
No reason for the change was announced. Segway officials were not available for comment.
Segway's Human Transporter is a scooter that carries one person on a platform between two side-by-side wheels. (Reuters)
