Sub-Zero Freezer Company, a manufacturer of residential refrigeration appliances, and Wolf Appliance Company, a manufacturer of professional cooking appliances, have announced the official panel of judges for the company's 2002/2003 Kitchen Design Contest.
The contest, held every 2 years, honors design professionals who have designed kitchens using Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances.
The contest judges hail from various disciplines within the kitchen design industry and will select winning entries with a good use of space, innovative and brilliant kitchen design, and good use of a Sub-Zero and Wolf appliance in a well-designed, beautiful home.
This year's judges include Mick de Giulio, de Giulio kitchen design, inc., Chicago, IL, U.S.; Jamie Drake, Drake Design, New York, NY, U.S.; Gail Olsen, Ducci Kitchens, Inc., Torrington, CT, U.S.; Kimball Derrick, K.D. and Steele Cabinetry, Cincinnati, OH, U.S,; Claudia Skylar, Mastro & Skylar Architects, Chicago, IL, U.S.; and MaryJo Camp, McPhails Appliance, San Jose, CA, U.S.
Entrants compete in a number of categories at the local level for the right to compete for nationally. According to the companies, the last contest considered nearly 1,000 entries from throughout North America.
Award Categories for the contest include the following:
Best kitchen utilizing a full-size Sub-Zero and Wolf cooking instrument(s)
Best dealer showroom using both Sub-Zero and Wolf
Best use of Sub-Zero‚s wine storage equipment outside of a kitchen
Best use of a Sub-Zero and/or Wolf outside of a kitchen
International Category: Best use of a Sub-Zero and/or Wolf
