Electrolux Continues North American Branding Effort Jan 5, 2004

Frigidaire Financial Corporation announced an official name change on Jan. 1, 2004 to Electrolux Financial Corporation. The company is part of Electrolux Group, the world's largest producer of appliances.

According to Electrolux, the name change is part of a global branding initiative to make the Electrolux name, products, and services more commonly known throughout North America.

"The name change was a natural transition and fit for our company and has allowed us to heighten our profile and re-brand the company," said Barry Cook, president of Electrolux Financial. "Customers will receive the same benefits and services as in the past."

Electrolux Financial services approximately 9,000 U.S. and Canadian dealers and provides wholesale inventory financing and retail financing. The 15-year-old company serves several brands, including Frigidaire, Electrolux, Husqvarna, Beam, Eureka, Poulan Pro, and Partner.
