Cold Heat Raises $2.5 Million in Funding to Expand Product Line Dec 18, 2003

Cold Heat â„¢ (Bellevue, WA, U.S.), a developer of mobile heating technology, has announced the closing of its $2.5 million series A round of funding, which was led by Acorn Ventures. With Cold Heat's first product launch early in 2004, the company will use this funding to accelerate sales and product development as well as to expand corporate infrastructure.

Cold Heat technology enables the development of cordless high-performance products that can be quickly heated and cooled by channeling energy only when and where it is needed, according to the company.

"This funding will allow Cold Heat to continue to develop our technology and product line while growing our dedicated team," said Michael Parks, CEO of Cold Heat. â„¢, in a written statement from the company.

Cold Heat™ says it will change the way consumers tackle everyday tasks—with applications ranging from household appliances to heating tools, clothing, medical devices, and military equipment.
